FBT Hi MaxX 40a
2-way Bi-amped Processed Active Monitor System

The Hi MaxX 40a is a 2-way bi-amped active monitor system featuring a new FBT proprietary designed custom made woofer and driver.

The B&C 12" neodymium magnet woofer with a more efficient ventilation system results in a 1.5dB reduction of power compression and features a new rigid cone for increased reliability.

The new B&C 1.7" neodymium magnet high frequency driver is coupled to a 90°H x 60°V CD horn.

Amplifier Circuitry
Completely manufactured in Italy, each MaxX 40a utilizes the best 1% - 5% military spec electronic components available in the amplifier circuitry.  FBT's new Class D & G amplifiers with switch mode power supplies are light in weight but hefty in power, delivering 90% amplifier efficiency. 

Advanced Dynamic Active Protection
FBT's exclusive ADAP 2 (Advanced Dynamic Active Protection) circuitry prevents component failures, without thermal shutdowns.

2 Independent Input Channels
1 x XLR/combo jack, 1 x AUX L/R RCA jacks and volume control allows you to connect to external devices such as an MP3 player or PC.

Control Panel
The FBT Hi MaxX 40a Control Panel features the same 3 band EQ, Mic/Line switching and ground lift switch as the MaxX 4a and MaxX 2a.

New to the Hi MaxX 40a Control Panel is a combined Preamp Gain and Master Volume Control to precisely regulate the proper preamp gain structure in accordance with the volume out, which results in easier and quicker volume settings, superb dynamic range and signal to noise ratio. 

It also features two independent input channels - 1 x XLR/combo jack, 1 x AUX L/R RCA jacks with volume control to offer additional mixing capabilities.

Hi MaxX 40a vs. MaxX 4a
The new Class D & G amplifiers offer an increased power capacity of +200w for the LF woofer and +50w for the HF driver.  Peak power has almost doubled with up to 1000 watts to the 12" B&C LF woofer.

The total cabinet volume has increased by +5Lt of load to the woofer, while maintaining the same width and height of the FBT MaxX 4a - producing a more powerful (+4 dB) bass response.

The reflex tuning ports are a new design and are optimized to reduce turbulence and compression.

Combined Gain and Volume functions in the same rotary potentiometer offer easier and quicker volume settings and provide an improved dynamic range and S/N ration at the input stage.

FBT's Hi MaxX 40a carries a three year parts and labor warranty.
