Featuring a host of refinements and upgrades, the legendary line of 5000 Series bass drum pedals features a choice of Accelerator (offset), Turbo (center) double chain and sprocket or classic nylon strap drive systems. Along with aluminum hex shafts, pedal plates and linkages, dual side adjusting hoop clamp, 101 two-way beater and built in spurs, these pedals can be customized to fit the needs of any player. DW’s Delta Tri-Bearing System employs ball bearings in three critical areas: the hinge, spring rocker and both sides of the post casting. DW’s patented Delta ball-bearing hinge is a state-of-the-art lightweight aluminum design that incorporates ball bearings at both sides. The adjustable spring rocker and post casting also utilize ball bearings for smoother movement at the hex shaft, completing the Tri-Bearing System. The Accelerator (AD3, AX) drive system offers an eccentric motion that creates an indirect relationship between the sprocket and the footboard, increasing the velocity of the pedal by shortening the length of the stroke. It is recommended for situations that require increased speed and sensitivity. The Turbo (TD3, CX) concentric drive system maintains a direct relationship between the sprocket and the footboard to provide a solid, powerful, consistent feel and response. The flexibility and relaxed feel of DW’s Nylon Strap (ND3, NX) drive system offers a classic balance and fast, fluid, floating response that continues to make it the favorite of many traditional and contemporary drummers. The patented Single Post Casting design on DW’s double pedals provides ease of movement between the pedal and hi-hat, also allowing the pedals to be played independently or simultaneously. 5000 Series Double Pedals come in a molded, hard shell case. 5000 Series Single Pedals include a soft carrying bag. |
