APB-DynaSonics
Spectra Series
Spectra-C, Spectra-Ci, Spectra-T, Spectra-Ti
24, 32, 40, 48 and 56 channels

The Spectra Series are high performance analog consoles from APB-DynaSonics
designed to offer truly exceptional sound quality, versatility and reliable
performance in a range of fixed installation and touring sound applications.
The Spectra-C and Spectra-T consoles feature TRS inserts while the Spectra-Ci
and Spectra-Ti include balanced insert sends and returns on separate 1/4"
phone jacks to more easily match the existing wiring schemes of production
companies.
Each of these VCA-based models is available with 24, 32, 40, 48 and 56
mono input channels and all sizes feature 4 additional stereo line-input
channels. A 24 channel mono-input expander is also available for use with
all of the available models for the entire Spectra Series.
Feature rich, Spectra consoles include VCA control on inputs and outputs,
mono/stereo/3-speaker LCR monitoring, and inserts on all primary outputs,
including the Auxes and Matrixes. The Master VCA output fader can simultaneously
control the levels of Left, Right, Center, Mono and any of the four Matrix
outputs. The Spectra-C and Spectra-T represent a unique, inventive approach
to design that literally redefines the potential of live-performance analog
consoles for a new generation of users.
Spectra EQ
The primary difference between the Spectra-C/Ci and Spectra-T/Ti consoles
is in the EQ sections. Both models include a variable high-pass filter
(20Hz to 400Hz) with ON switch and LED. All other features other than
the EQ parameters and the Insert-On switch are identical between the Spectra-C
and Spectra-T consoles.
- Spectra-C and Spectra-CI have a 4-band EQ section with Shelving High
and Low bands, each switchable between two frequencies. Each of the
two bell-shaped mid bands are sweepable over a 20:1 range and have a
1 octave bandwidth. An EQ ON switch with LED is also included and always
on.
- Spectra-T and Spectra-Ti EQ is sweepable in all four bands
and includes shelving/bell switches on the HF/LF frequency bands. The
HF/LF bell mode features an asymmetric response, with 2/3 octave boost
and 1/4 octave cut. The two mid bands are switchable between 1 octave
and 1/3 octave bandwidth in both boost and cut. Separate ON switches
with LED are provided for Spectra-T's EQ and Insert functions.
Servicing
Spectra consoles are designed to be easily serviced. Replacement of a
module block requires only the removal of 6 front panel screws and 4 ribbon
cables in total. It is not required that the console be removed from its
installation or road cases for the replacement or repair of a module assembly.
A mother/daughter board construction is employed throughout with all primary
electronics on individual plug-in circuit boards using gold-plated connectors.
Even the fader uses plug-in leads for easy service or replacement.
